Adopt-A-Museum Bench

About the Program

Support the Friends of Audubon and the John James Audubon Museum by adopting a gallery bench!

Available for adoption are four gallery benches by Louisville artist and craftsman, Kevin Kraus. Mr. Kraus thoughtfully crafted each bench using Kentucky sourced maple and cherry wood materials. The benches provide a comfortable place for visitors to sit and enjoy the many original Audubon works on display in the museum. No two benches are alike!

Adopting a bench is a great way to memorialize or honor a loved one and make the perfect gift for any occasion—birthday, anniversary, new baby, retirement, graduation. Businesses and associations may also consider adopting a bench to show their support of the Friends of Audubon and John James Audubon State Park.

The cost to adopt is $750. This adoption fee includes a certificate of adoption, a small plaque on the bench with a personalized message or inscription, and recognition on the Friends of Audubon website and John James Audubon State Park’s Facebook page. Adoption fees are used to support the Audubon Museum’s art conservation fund.
