Mankind’s continuing fascination with Mars, the Red Planet, has resulted in more space probes being sent there than to anywhere else. This bright planet’s appearance in the night sky changes from year-to-year, and will seem to dramatically brighten over the coming months of July and August. Join astronomer, Joe Caruso, at 8 P.M. in the Audubon Museum Theater on Friday, August 10, 2018, as he explains these changes and discusses why man is so interested in having these close encounters with Mars. Get a closer look at the planet as Joe accompanies visitors to the golf course area for telescope viewing. Staff from the Evansville Museum and members of the Evansville Astronomical Society will be on hand with telescopes as well. Raindate: August 11
