A Fresh Perspective: 31st Annual Juried Exhibition | Friday, April 7th-Sunday, July 9th, 2023

The Henderson Society of Art’s 31st annual juried exhibition, “A Fresh Perspective,” is on display in the Audubon Museum at John James Audubon State Park. This show runs April 7th through July 9th, 2023. The museum is open daily from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Stop by to see 56 pieces of beautiful, original art from the Tristate area.

This show is co-sponsored by the Ohio Valley Art League (OVAL) and the Audubon Museum. OVAL is funded in part by the Kentucky Arts Council. This exhibition is funded in part by the Henderson Area Arts Alliance.

Julie Schweitzer, the juror for the show, selected the artwork to be displayed and chose 11 award winners who will be announced at the artist reception on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023. Julie is the visionary, artist, and Executive Director of ArtSeed, Halo ArtSeed Community Gallery, and Bourne-Schweitzer Gallery. She has been actively involved in the development of the regional arts community for over 30 years. Julie has been involved in the acquisition, creation, and installation of multiple public artworks in New Albany, Indiana, including: Barney Bright’s “Winged Man” at Second Baptist Church, Barney Bright’s “Landscape” in Bicentennial Park, Brad White’s “Scribner History” in Scribner Park, New Albany High School’s Sculptures located at I-64, YMCA, and Second Baptist Church.
