SUMMARY:Youth Wilderness Survival Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Youth Wilderness Survival Workshop \nSaturday\, March 7 \n12:00 – 3:00 P.M. \nJohn James Audubon Museum \nCost: $15 per person\, ages 10-16\, pre-registration is required. \n  \nIf you found yourself in a wilderness survival situation\, would you know what to do? Have you ever tried to make a fire without matches\, find your way in the forest\, or build a temporary shelter?  Youth ages 10-16 may attend this hands-on survival workshop on Saturday\, March 7\, from Noon to 3 P.M. Hike-preparedness and basic survival skills will be discussed and practiced\, as we learn to make use of surrounding natural resources. Cost: $15\, pre-registration is required; Registration deadline is March 4; Fee is non-refundable after March 4. DESCRIPTION:ADA Accessible Twilight Hike      \nSaturday\, June 13 \n7:45-9:15 P.M. \nAudubon Wetlands on Wolf Hills Road \nCost: $5\, cash only at the trailhead gate \n  \nExplore a wetland world as nature makes the shift change from day to night. Join our naturalist for an adventure as darkness approaches – a wetland TWILIGHT HIKE! This hike follows flat terrain (small gravel\, dirt path\, and boardwalk) covering 1.5-miles. Less strenuous than our park hills\, this ADA accessible site offers a completely different habitat to discover! \n  \nMeets in the Wetland parking lot on Wolf Hills Rd.\, just north of Audubon Park. Bring a flashlight! Wear shoes that can get muddy. Bug repellent is a must! Admission is $5\, cash only at the gate. No pets\, please. Will be cancelled if it’s raining. \n  \nQuestions?
