UNMATCHED ART, UNMATCHED NATURE

In 2021, we are seeking to fund two large projects at John James Audubon State Park: building a dedicated archives space to protect and preserve our Audubon collection, and adding to our boardwalk in the Audubon Wetlands. We have the opportunity to receive a $100,000 donation for these projects thanks to Walt Dear, former publisher of The Gleaner and one of Henderson’s dearest friends – if we can match his gift. Please consider helping us meet this challenge. Click the links below to learn more and donate today.

About Friends of Audubon

The Interests of John James Audubon State Park

The Friends of Audubon is a non-profit organization formed in Henderson, Kentucky in 1984 as a means to support, promote, and enhance John James Audubon State Park. The first major project of the Friends was to raise money to purchase the Tyler Collection, a collection of original artwork and artifacts owned by the descendants of John James Audubon. The Tyler Collection was on loan to Audubon State Park since the Museum opened in 1938.
