Many artists have attempted to reproduce Audubon’s work, but few have done so as well as M. Bernard Loates. Loates is a Canadian artist and printer who reproduced some of Audubon’s best-known Birds of America prints. Each print is signed, numbered, and corresponds with a bibliographic entry featuring some of M. Bernard Loates’ personal drawings of the birds proving him to be both a master printer and artist. This exhibit features the Sandhill Crane pictured below and 4 other birds.
This exhibit is FREE and can be viewed in the Lobby of the Museum. The exhibit will run until July so don’t miss out! The Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
