The Monarch Butterfly captures everyone’s attention! This nearly endangered species completes a two-way migration, but there’s so much mystery surrounding it! Attend the Monarch Migration Mysteries program: You’ll learn the Monarch’s incredible story in an engaging presentation, then caravan with us offsite to capture, tag, and release these beautiful creatures. Tags and butterfly nets are provided—we’ll show you what to do! Wear long pants and sturdy shoes. (Sloughs WMA tagging site is approx. 25 mins. from the park.) Program begins at the Audubon Museum. Cost: $5/person; discounts for FOA members and larger families; children under age 4 are free. Inclement weather may cancel the program. Please watch social media for announcements.
