Birding activities to please everyone! Whether you’re an advanced birder, or a novice just beginning to birdwatch, you’ll find something of interest at the annual Ohio Valley Birding Festival:
Tagalong on expert-led birding hikes, observe birds in-hand during the bird banding workshop, see live raptors from Talon Trust, attend Sharon Sorenson’s presentation on how to upgrade your yard with native plants that help birds, and learn from Greg DuBois, how you can be a bird-friendly coffee drinker. Stop by educational booths to make an upcycled birdfeeder, build a nest, practice binocular skills, create a mask to become a bird yourself, immerse yourself in the life of John James Audubon through dramatic storytelling in “Birds & Beaks—Words & Wishes”, watch a demo of his drawing style, and tour the world-renowned Audubon Museum! Don’t miss this annual family-oriented event!
