The Birds Audubon Drew in Kentucky Presentation

Friday, February 20, 2026

6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.

John James Audubon Museum

Cost: FREE

This presentation is offered in conjunction with AUDUBON WILD but is open to the public. Our Museum Curator, Connor Humphrey, will explore early drawings done by Audubon in Kentucky. We will go through images found in collections from the New York Historical Society, Harvard University’s Houghton Library, and our own museum collection! We will talk about the change in Audubon’s artistic skill, extinct birds, and Audubon’s time in Kentucky. There will be a short Q&A to follow.

Contact: Connor Humphrey at (502) 782-9716 or email connor.humphrey@ky.gov.
