Our focus is on helping you improve your nature photography skills and expand your creativity while providing you opportunities to photograph unique and exciting outdoor adventure and nature subjects.
Chuck is a pastor who has been photographing semi-professionally for over twenty years. He is the author of three books: Kentucky: Unbridled Spirit and Beauty; A Year in the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park; and A Year in the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. Chuck’s images have appeared in magazines such as Outdoor Photographer, National Parks, Backpacker, Blue Ridge Country, Nature’s Best, Country and Wyoming Wildlife. His photographs have also been featured in calendars by the Sierra Club, Outdoor Photographer and several national parks. Chuck co-authors the blog SeeingCreation.com with Rob Sheppard and as been the featured presenter at numerous workshops. He and his wife, Bonita, reside in Henderson, KY.
Allen grew up in the outdoors so after going to college to study commercial, industrial photography and graphic arts it seemed natural for him to also pick up on nature photography. Professionally Allen began his career in 1984 as a photojournalist working for various newspapers and magazines. He opened Mayo Photographic in 1991 focusing on commercial, portrait and location photography while also continuing his involvement in nature photography. Throughout the years, Allen has taught photography courses at Henderson’s community college and been a staff member at various photography workshops. During this time, Allen became a volunteer at John James Audubon State Park and earned his Master Naturalist Certification. Today he continues on with his photography business, but also works as trail maintenance supervisor and volunteer coordinator for John James Audubon State Park. In 1966 while serving in the Army around some of Vietnam’s beautiful villages and beaches Gene Stinson became interested in photography. After the Army he became a welding contractor, but, kept his hobby active through the years. In retirement he was able to spend much more time with photography. He has won and placed in several photography competitions and regularly sells his nature images in addition to having been published in a few magazines. Gene’s love of photography stems from its ability to get him out and engaged in the outdoors. However, he feels that he is just now starting to understand and fully appreciate his life long hobby crediting persistence, experience and passion for the art. April has been involved in photography ever since she earned the “My Camera" badge while she was a Girl Scout. The badge requirements sparked an interest that has lasted over 40 years. She is the author of several books featuring photography in Henderson and Henderson County and has been published in regional and national magazines.
