Description

This is a set of five original prints from the first Royal Octavo edition of John James Audubon’s Birds of America, including plate 155 Snow Lark Bunting, plate 162 Yellow-winged Bunting, plate 322 Townsend’s Surf Bird, plate 348 Great Marbled Godwit, and plate 449 Glaucus Gull Burgomaster.

A private collector donated these prints to the Friends of Audubon. All proceeds benefit fundraising efforts for the Unmatched Art, Unmatched Nature matching grant campaign.

Original first edition measuring 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches. Binding holes still evident. Slight cockling across paper. Some discoloration. Accompanied by original text (pages 228-230).

Plate 348 – Great Marbled Godwit
