This is a stoneware mug made by Bybee Pottery of Kentucky. It is one of a series of mugs made exclusively for Kentucky State Parks. The mug is medium brown in color with black-and-sand speckles. “From Audubon State Park / Ky” is inscribed on the front. The bottom is left unpainted and unglazed with the inscription, “Bybee / Ky.” The words are painted in medium brown like the rest of the mug.
Where can you view this object? As of the writing of this post, the mug is located in storage at the Audubon Museum.
